For parents who drive their children to and from camp, our turnaround procedure has helped alleviate congestion on Plymbridge Road. Your compliance and assistance in ensuring traffic moves safely and efficiently is of utmost importance for the safety and well being of all of our children. Please adhere to posted speed limits (40 km/h) in our community.
Drop-Off
For our morning and full-day sessions, children may be dropped off starting at 8:50 am. Our afternoon campers may be dropped off starting at 12:50 pm. Children will not be accepted into camp prior to these times.
Cars are to move to the far right side of Plymbridge Road while waiting on the road to turn into our turnaround area. Please DO NOT block neighbouring driveways and always be considerate of drive-through traffic trying to bypass our line.
Once you have entered the turnaround, pull as far forward through the circle as is safely possible. Drivers are required to turn OFF your vehicle’s engine, remove the keys from the ignition and ASSIST CHILDREN OUT OF THE VEHICLE. A staff member will meet you and your child at your vehicle to escort your child into camp.
When exiting from the turnaround, vehicles must STOP before the sidewalk and ensure the sidewalk and roadway are clear before proceeding CAUTIOUSLY.
Pick-up
Parents will receive a colour-coded car pool or pick-up number prior to the start of camp.
Vehicles will not be permitted to enter the turnaround before 11:25 am / 3:25 pm. IN AN EFFORT TO ALLEVIATE TRAFFIC CONGESTION ON PLYMBRIDGE ROAD, WE REQUEST THAT YOU DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER THAN THE STATED PICKUP TIMES.

Upon entering the turnaround, please pull all the way forward in the circle. Drivers are requested to wait in their car with the IGNITION OFF until a counselor or staff member approaches the vehicle with your child. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE UNATTENDED TO RETRIEVE YOUR CHILD FROM THE GATE.
Any changes to your child’s transportation arrangements must be made IN WRITING OR TELEPHONED INTO THE OFFICE. We will NOT release any child to an unauthorized party. If your child is being picked up by a relative, friend or with another camper, please ensure that you inform the office of these arrangements at least 1 hour prior to dismissal.
Your co-operation with our procedures is required and appreciated. The responsibility for the safety and well being of our children and neighbours belongs to each of us.
